Janice is survived by her brother Harold Germann, sister in law, Joan of Sauk Rapids, MN, Sister Charlene Wenthold of Pueblo, CO. Son Gerald (Jerry) Lindahl, wife Tammy, daughter Kellie of Columbia, S. C., Daughter Vickie Edmonds, husband Jim of Odessa TX. daughters Ashley Thinel, Chelsea Carrell, Hailey Dubord. Son Steven Lindahl, wife Debbie, daughters, Jodiann Boettger, Jennifer Schnabel and Donna Whitehouse of Evansville, In. Great grandchildren, Chaynee, Cayson, Maddx, Jett, Knoxx, Jakk, Zachary, Michel, Christina, Katlyn, Hannah, Jason. Great Great Grandchildren Jackson, Oliver, Leo, Alivia. Janice is preceded in death by parents Albert and Victoria Germann, husband William G. Lindahl.
Janice was born on January 11, 1933 in Pilot Grove, Mn.to Albert and Victoria Germann. She graduated from Wells, MN. She married the love of her life William Bill Lindahl on June 9, 1952 in Wells MN. They lived in Minneapolis, MN, then moved to Chula Vista, Ca. then made their home in Odessa, TX. They had three children, Gerald (Jerry), Vickie and Steven. Bill passed away in 1980 and Janice remained in Odessa, TX. Granny, as she was called by her children and grandchildren, was deeply loved and taught them all the love of the Lord.
Janice loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church in Odessa TX. In later years she was not able to attend services so Crescent Park Church and Immanuel Baptist Church would do home ministry which she so cherished. Janice shined the light of the Lord thru her volunteer work at St. Marys’ thrift shop and Park Methodist Retirement Village. Janice was an award-winning oil painter and loved to craft. At the 1996 Permian Basin Fair Janice won 1st place, Judges Choice, for her English cottage painting. Janice loved being outdoors, she raised peacocks, which she was so proud of and was known for her flower gardening.
Funeral service is scheduled for Monday at 11am on November 11, 2019 at Odessa Funeral Home with viewing one hour before the Service. Pastor Corey Speer will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Janice Lindahl. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Ashton Medical Lodge in Midland for the care you provided our loved one in the last year was a true blessing.
