Isabel "Chavela" Gallego Valenzuela

She was born November 19, 1935, to Celso and Guadalupe (Tarango) Gallego, Sr, in Alpine, TX. She married David M. Valenzuela, Sr, in 1952, in Alpine.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Hector and Santiago “Jimmy” Sr Valenzuela, four sisters, and five brothers.

She is survived by her husband David Morales Valenzuela, Sr of Odessa; four sons David Valenzuela, Jr and wife, Alma; Oscar Valenzuela, Danny Valenzuela, and Michael Valenzuela and wife, Esmeralda, all of Odessa; daughter Jackie Lynn Hernandhttps://admin.mem.com/sso/newde/6800596#manageproduct/membercertificateez and husband, Bo of Odessa; brother Celso Gallego Jr of Alpine; sister Victoria Rubio of El Paso; eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Monday, February 15, 2016, with Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez officiating. Interment will follow at the Ector County Cemetery.
