grandfather, brother, and Dear Friend Gilbert C. Valencia. Mr. Valencia 74, of Odessa passed away Thursday March 21,2013 at the

Home Hospice Facility. He was born June 19,1938 in Pecos, Texas to Martin and Anita (Carnero) Valencia. He was a loving and

devoted husband, a caring father, brother grandfather and great-grandfather and a loyal friend. Loved and respected by all who met

him and never met a stranger. Enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and watching western movies. Loved to spend his

mornings with his friends at McDonald's. He was a member of the holy name society and devout man of faith. He will be missed by

all. He was a Catholic and worked as a butcher for Safeway and Lowe’s Market. He is preceded in death by parents Martin and Anita

Valencia. Mr Valencia is survived by Wife; Maggie A. Valencia of Odessa, Sons; Jerry Valencia (Wife Cindy) of Lewisville, Texas,

Edward Valencia (Wife Julia) of Breckenridge, Texas, Eric Valencia of Odessa, daughters; Debbie Arredondo (Husband Eddie) of

Odessa, Lori Valencia of Odessa, and 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. We the Family, would like to take this time and

express our utmost sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you for all your prayers, floral, food offerings and especially your

presence with us during this most difficult time. May God Bless You All Abundantly. We would also like to thank Medical Center

Hospital and Home Hospice for their care and hospitality. A Rosary will be held today Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 7pm Sunday March

24, 2013 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated at 1pm Monday March 25, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic

Church with Reverend Michael Rodriguez officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
