George Lee Dennard

George grew up in Brady, Texas moved to Odessa in 1958. He worked for El Paso Products of 15 years, and started Dennard Electric and ran it for over 40 years. He was an active member of Northside Baptist Church. He was 32nd Degree Mason, was active in Golden Gloves Boxing and a long time member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang.

He was married to Helen Dennard for 23 years and they had three children. He and his wife Elida were together for 14 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jim Dennard, two sisters, Margaret Dennard and Jacqueline Dennard .

He is survived by his wife, Elida Dennard, sons, Derrick Dennard of Odessa, Darren Dennard and wife Stacey of Rockwall, daughter, Jeanna Dennard of Odessa, brother, Ted Dennard and wife Joyce of Farmington , New Mexico, sisters, Rita Neimann of Priddy, TX Katy Crowder of Midland, and Barbara Lyijynen of Phoenix, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 4pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Clydell Chapman officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 4pm at Big Valley Cemetery in Goldthwaite, TX.
