Frank Emory Taylor, 87, Odessa, Texas went to be with our Lord on Wednesday January 11, 2017. He was born in Denver, Colorado on November 13, 1929 to Jesse and Grace Taylor. Frank graduated from South High School in 1947. He married Yvonne Smith and after joining the Air Force was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. In 1957, the family moved to Odessa, Texas and Frank was employed by Hull Photo. In 1964, Frank married Donna Marie Redding and they worked together in the photography business for many years. He also owned many rental properties in the area. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and traveling. His favorite trip was the fulfillment of childhood desire to go to Alaska. Frank was a member of Temple Baptist/Crossroads Fellowship for many years. He went on several mission trips to other countries and taught children’s Sunday school. After retiring, he served on the Honor Guard with VFW Post 4372 with his good friend Herb Walker and J.T. Profitt and was very thankful that he could service his fellow veterans and their families in this capacity. He is survived by Yvonne Taylor, his sons Dan Taylor, Dave Taylor and his wife Sheron, his daughter Norma Battenfield and her husband Rust, and his step daughter Brenda Barber and her husband Rick. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his wife Donna Taylor. Services will be held at Crossroads Fellowship with Minister David Newton, officiating on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
