Our Heavenly Father came for Frank F. Sanchez on January 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends, he was 77. He was born in Alpine, Texas to Francisco Sanchez and Reyes Fierro.
Mr. Sanchez was born and raised in Alpine, Texas where he met his late wife Hortencia Hernandez Sanchez. He served in the military, and became a teacher, a profession he loved for over 30 years. He is survived by his four children, Robert Sanchez, Cecilia Sanchez, Ray Sanchez and Lorenzo Sanchez married to Tana Sanchez. He also had five grandchildren, Kristina Silva, Tara Alvarado, Ayden Sanchez, Corbyn Sanchez and Olivia Sanchez. He also had five great grandchildren, Mariah, Alayah, Iyanah, Addison and Nathan. Two brothers, Marin Sanchez of Eagle Pass, Texas, Eddie Sanchez of Monahans, Texas and a sister Celia Bruns of El Paso, Texas. Mr. Sanchez had a true love of teaching, Math was his favorite subject. He taught at Ector Junior High, and Permian High School. Mr. Sanchez was also a drivers education instructor, umpired softball, refereed basketball, coached, and later became a realtor. He also enjoyed a mean game of Texas Hold em.
He knew no strangers and will be missed by all of us.
The Sanchez family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our employers who have all been very understanding durning our Dads illness. We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and kind words. A special thank you to Hospice, and Nurses Unlimited and Dads caregiver Violet Vargas. There are no words to express our gratitude for all you did for our Dad.
Visitation will be Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Odessa Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday January 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeths with burial to follow at Rose Hill.
