Frances Martinez Velasco

Frances was born in Terlingua, TX on September 2, 1932 to Epifanio and Eulalia Martinez and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Antonia and Celzo Martinez following the passing of her mother.

She married Alfonso B. Velasco on January 7, 1951. They were married 66 years.

Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso B. Velasco, and son Adan Velasco.

Frances is survived by a son, Alfonso M. Velasco and wife Gloria, daughters, Eva Calaway and husband Curtis, Norma Gonzales and husband Larry all of Odessa, TX and Brenda Clifton and husband Kyle of Grand Prairie, TX. Frances is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her favorite hobby was cooking. She enjoyed sharing and teaching her skills of cooking to her grandkids. She also enjoyed sewing and had a great love for dogs.

Visitation: Friday April 29, 2022 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services: Saturday April 30, 2022 at 10 am at Odessa Funeral Chapel 1700 N Jackson, Odessa, TX with the Rev. James Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosehill, 300 S. Dixie Blvd. Odessa, TX
