Floyd Coots

Floyd Coots, 77, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Medical Center Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born November 26, 1939 in Brady, TX to Roy & Ruth Coots. He married Frances Aline Hagan December 9, 1960. He retired as yard superintendant from Nabors Drilling Co. in 2015 after 27 years of service. He was a Mason and a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, twin brother, Lloyd, Roger & Lynn Coots. He is survived by his wife, Frances Aline Coots of Odessa, sons, Jim Bob Coots & wife Debrah of Midland, Pat D. Coots & wife Connie of Odessa, daughter, Joline Bowen & husband Kris of Odessa, brothers, James H. Coots & wife Marsha of Crestview, FL, Bill Coots of Mabank, TX, Glenn Coots & wife Tonya of Dardanelle, AR, grandchildren, Britni Veretto & husband Michael, Dayton Adkins & wife Haylee, Meagan Coots, Courtni Ward & Husband Justin, Jaycilyn Gomez & husband Augie, & Caden Coots, great-grandchildren, Ella & Cooper Fredrick, Ryker Adkins & Parker Ward. A visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, January 13, 2017 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Bugg officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Star Hospice. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
