Services will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home in Odessa, TX on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10am. The graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow. Steven May, Mark May, Nikita Weaver, Nate Weaver, Josh Stuart and Michael Drummond will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Brandon Blau, Bryan Blau and Brady Blau. Visitation will be held at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27th from 6-8pm.
On February 2, 1936, Etta was born to Thomas and Stella Storey in Gouldbusk, TX.
Etta was the fourth child out of five born to Thomas and Stella. She grew up on the farm in Cross Plains. Her siblings were her best friends throughout her life.
Etta graduated from Odessa High School in 1954 and went to work for Southwestern Bell later becoming AT&T. She committed 35 years of service and retired in 1989.
Robert and Etta shared many precious years together enjoying their children and grandchildren.
Etta’s main joy in life was being a mother to Teresa. Teresa was her pride and joy, and the two of them have been inseparable for 61 years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Park for the care provided to Etta over the last several months.
Etta is survived by her husband, Robert Watson, her brother Billy Storey, her daughter, Teresa Blau and husband Randall, her step daughters Mickie Loonan and husband Denny, Debbie May and husband Larry, and Sandy Miller, grandchildren Brandon Blau (Kelly), Bryan Blau (Emalee), Brady Blau (Emily), Kendall Ames (Steven), Shawn Loonam (Amanda), Joshua Loonam, Ethan Loonam, Steven May (Ashley), Mark May (Renee), Kimberly Stuart (Josh), Robert Miller, Randi Taylor (James), and 23 great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Stella Storey, brothers Tommy Storey and Bobby Storey, sisters Patsy Griffith, and Bonnie Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or any animal humane society of your choice.
