He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Texas Rifle Association. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a master mechanic for Phillips Petroleum for 43 years. He loved to make people laugh and he was one of the sweetest, kindest men you would ever meet. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dutch and Opal Rybolt, one brother, Bob Rybolt, and a daughter, Deanna Rybolt.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley Rybolt, sons, Kenneth Rybolt and wife Debbie, David Rybolt and wife Tracy, daughter, Jeanie DeShazo and husband Michael all of Odessa. He also leaves ten grandchildren, Jason Rybolt and Kaci, Darren Rybolt and Charly, Lindsey Ballou and Tommy, Ashley Young and Matthew, Victoria Rybolt, Kimberly Nielsen and Gary, Christi Becker, Matthew DeShazo and Kriston, Lara Buckingham and Neal, Karri DeShazo and Alisha, great-grandchildren, Zachary and Ethan Rybolt, Sheridan Rybolt, Matthew and Jordan Young, Makayla Nielsen and Harper Pierce-DeShazo.
Pallbearers will be Sam Rice, Charlie Grewell, Ray Holley, Gordon Allbright, Russell Sharp, and Wayne Petree.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donnie Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
