Elizabeth Ann Morgan

Ann was a person whose life’s mission was serving others. She taught elementary, high school and college over a thirty-year period. For anyone who knew her, she was constantly teaching. One of her greatest passions was her missionary work. She took many missionary trips to Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Mexico. Ann provided financial assistance to many children, some being former students, that were not able to go to college. Ann gave so much including her time, talent and treasures to so many across the community, the state, and internationally. Her legacy will live through her family and the many friends that she touched over her lifetime. Ann was truly an angel amongst us and will be sorely missed.

Ann was born August 24, 1934, to Arthur Grant and Audrey (Hall) Nimmo in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Banquete High School in 1951 and obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Texas A & I Kingsville in 1956. She married Leonard H. Morgan on May 26, 1956.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Audrey Nimmo and her brother Glen Nimmo.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Herb Morgan of Odessa: son Craig Morgan and wife, Amanda of Round Rock, TX; daughter Glenna Wilcox and husband, Thomas of Gardendale, Texas; three grandsons and one granddaughter Ronnie Scott Smith of Odessa; Garret Gonzales of Round Rock, TX; Casey Dale McKinley and Monica Rice of Gardendale, TX.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at First Assembly of God Church, 1101 N. Lee, with Rev. Tom Hopkins officiating and Rev. Wally Schiwart assisting. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith, Casey McKinley, Garret Gonzales, Brent Kettle, Brandon Barrow and Donald Woodard.

In lieu of flowers, one can make donations to the Missions Department at First Assembly of God Church.
