Doris E Roberson

Doris was born in Atwood, Ok. on January 13, 1930. Graduated from Dundee High School in Dundee, Ok in 1947 where her dad Clarence Elms was principal. After raising three children Doris returned to school and graduated in 1983 from North Texas University with Master of Education. She taught Business classes at Fort Worth ISD, Permian High School and Odessa High School in Odessa, Tx. from 1980 - 1999. She received TBEA Outstanding Business Education Teacher, Region 18 in 1990. and was a Texas Business Education Association State Representative 1988-1990. She was a member of National Business Education Association, Texas Business Education Association and Delta Pi Epsilon. She was a long time member of Eisenhower church of Christ in Odessa, Tx. till moving to the DFW area in 2009. Doris enjoyed teaching Ladies Bible Class, singing, reading, needlework and cooking. Most of all her family and grandchildren who will miss her very much.

Doris is survived by her children, Sam Roberson and wife Reba of Edna, Tx., Becky Stewart and husband Phillip of De Leon, Tx and Bonnie Estes and husband Frank of Hurst, Tx. A sister Maxine Newton of La Vernia, Tx, 10 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Lorene Elms, brothers Bill Elms and Norman Elms.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Ladora Nursing Home and Rehab Center with attention to the Activity Unit, Contributions may be sent via mail to 1960 Bedford Rd, Bedford, TX 76021.
