Dominic T.A. Sanchez

Dominic T.A. Sanchez passed away April 2, 2010 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 43. He was born on April 29, 1966 in Odessa, TX. He attended school at Zavala Elementary, Bowie Jr. High and Odessa High. He played football and was all district guard for the Bronchos. He was a Leo with the Odessa Basin Lion’s Club. He played baseball in Little League and Pony League. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his father and playing golf with his brother.

After graduating from Odessa High he attended San Angelo State University and played football for the Angelo State Rams. Eventually he moved to San Antonio, TX and graduated from U.T.S.A. with a bachelor degree of computer science, and worked for Boeing as a software engineer and a data base administrator.

He married Shirley McBurney in San Antonio, TX.

He is survived by his wife, and children, Dominic JR and Alexandria, his parents, Humberto SR and Alicia T. Sanchez of Odessa, brother, Humberto A Sanchez II of Austin, sister, Rachel Sanchez of Austin, many uncles, aunts, and cousins in Lubbock, Austin, San Angelo and Big Spring.

Pallbearers will be Humberto Sanchez II, Henry Vasquez, Benjamin Licon, Eric Sanchez, Alex Soza, Jordan S. Trevino, & honorary pallbearer Isaac McBurney.

A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. tonight at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Alvesa Davila officiating.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Uecker officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery Los Angeles section.
