She was born November 14, 1943, to John Henry Bean and Doris Jo Bean in Brownfield, Tx. She attended Permian High School. She married the love of her life, Nolen “Buck” Buchanan on March 21, 1965, in Odessa, Tx. They were Owner Operators of A-1 Air & Appliance Company for 20 years. Some of her favorite past times were sewing, crocheting, and drawing. But most important to her was being Ganny to all of her grands and great-grands. She was an active member at Faith Community Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and cleaned the church every Thursday. She loved serving our Lord with Buck by conducting a music ministry in the Odessa and Midland area nursing homes. She enjoyed cooking and caring for everyone. She was a witty and ornery woman and will forever remain in our hearts.
She is survived by her son, John Wheless of Odessa; Brother, Dwayne Bean and wife Sharon of Wingate; Son-in-Law, Earl Daly; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nolen Buchanan, her parents, Henry and Doris Bean, 2 siblings, Pam Pennington and Michael Bean, and 2 children, Melissa Daly and Nolen Buchanan.
