David G. Valenzuela Jr.

David G. Valenzuela Jr. 64, of Odessa, Texas passed away at home on March 22, 2019. He was born August 21, 1954 in Odessa, Texas to David M. Valenzuela and Isabel Gallego Valenzuela. David went by Sonny to friends and family growing up. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching The Andy Griffith show and Gilligan’s Island on TV. On March 7, 1997 David married Maria D. Valenzuela. He also worked as a carpet layer for over 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents David M. Valenzuela and Isabel Gallego Valenzuela and two brothers Hector and Santiago “Jimmy” Valenzuela.

He is survived by his 5 Sons Hector Valenzuela and wife Christina Of Odessa; Enrique Portillo and wife Betty of Abilene; Javier Portillo and wife Cynthia of Acuña, Mexico; Juan Lerma; German Sibrian of Odessa. 5 Daughters Veronica Valenzuela and fiancé Nathan of Odessa; Breanna Valenzuela; Neidia Rankin and husband Chris of Odessa; Sandra Baeza and husband Alfredo of Tatum, NM; Yuliana Ponce and husband Juventino of Abilene. 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 8:00am-9:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, with Rosary recited at 7pm at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Mass will be Wednesday, March 27,2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 2pm.
