He was born February 8, 1952 in Big Spring, Texas to Sarah and Bob Willey. Danny graduated from Andrews High School in 1970. He married his high school sweetheart Vivian Campbell. They lived in the Odessa area all of their 40 years of marriage. He pursued a career in the Permian Basin that lasted 40 years. He enjoyed the many relationships and friendships establish in his career.
His focus in life was being a Christian Dad and raising his family in the Church. He was very active serving as a Deacon and later as an Elder with the Sherwood Church of Christ.
His family was the center of his world. He loved his sons and their wives and doted on his 2 grandkids. He adored his parents, aunts, uncles, and special friends. He had a special relationship with his brother. He was loved by his wife’s family and created long lasting relationships with all of them.
Danny’s hobbies included watching all kinds of sports, playing golf (as much as possible), entertaining family and friends on holidays and special occasions. Some of his favorite things included his wife’s chicken fried steak, homemade ice cream, and carrot cake and of course his Mom’s spaghetti sauce.
As a Dad he coached his boy’s sport teams. Along the way he was a positive role model for many young lives and left a lasting impression.
