Clara Sue Beard

Clara “Sue” Beard, 88, formerly of Odessa passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Bivins Nursing Home in Amarillo. Sue was born March 6, 1926 in Martin County. She moved to Odessa in December 1942 and entered Odessa High School her Junior year, graduating in 1943. She worked as a bookkeeper for a number of companies during the 50’s & 60’s, Waukesha Sales & Service, Eagle Fishing Tool, Liberty Reverse Units, Western Company Chemical & Purchasing Division, & Rodman Supply Co. She retired from Lindsey Completion Systems as Credit Manager, Treasurer in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ross & Sula Scott, brother Zack Scott and sister Evelyn Letterman. She is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Paula Beard; grandson & wife, Jason & Nancy Herndon; granddaughters & husbands, Judith & Daniel Briseno, Baily & Clayton Leonard; adopted by love son & wife, Mark & Rhonda Beard; & many beloved nieces & nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 6, 2015 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curtis Brewer officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
