Christine Moore Hilton

In 1930, the family moved from Houston, Texas to Dimmitt, Texas where she attended Public School thru the 9th grade. In August 1939 the family moved to Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Lubbock High School in May of 1941. In September 1941, she entered Texas Tech majoring in Home Economics and received a Degree in August of 1944.

She married 2nd Lt. Wayne Arvis Hilton, son of Mr. & Mrs. J.A. Hilton, on February 5, 1945. In 1952, they returned to Lubbock where Wayne completed his Degree at Texas Tech. The following years were spent in Fort Worth, Texas followed by 13 years in Orlando and Clearwater, Florida. In 1975 the family returned to Texas and resided in Odessa, Texas. They bought Taylor Body Works and operated it until they retired at the end of 2007.

Christine is survived by her son, Joe, of Odessa; daughter-in-law, Deb, of Lockhart; grandchildren, Tara Bertram and husband Cody and Matthew Hilton and wife Madhavi; along with four great grandchildren.

A private service will be held for family. It is requested that no flowers be sent and donations be made to their favorite charity.
