Billy Gilbreath

Billy Ray Gilbreath, 72, of Odessa left this earth on Saturday, January 22, 2010 to join the love of his life and best friend Ann Gilbreath. He was born June 24, 1938 in Alba, TX. He grew up in Lamesa, TX and later moved to Odessa, where he lived until his death. He worked for Key Services for years until his retirement.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Ola Gilbreath, brother, Buck Gilbreath, sister, LaVern Vaughn, son, Felix Glen Gilbreath and his loving wife, Ann Gilbreath.

He cherished his family and loved life. He never met a stranger or passed one by. He was very compassionate when it came to others. He always took a drive in the oilfields in the area to see old friends he used to work with and sit and chat for hours.

He is survived by his sons, Barry Gilbreath of Ruidoso, NM, Cody Gilbreath & wife Pam of Odessa, daughter, Gina Mize & husband Bill of Brownwood, sister, Avis Robertson of Midland, (5) grandkids, Ginger, Jimmy, Harvey Newton, Toby & Corky Gilbreath, (6) great-grandkids, Aleia, Jessie, Baily, Christian, Haily, Haven, and numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2010 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Lamesa Memorial Park in Lamesa.
