Betty has past this life for a better place, now free of pain in the care of her heavenly Father. With a heavy heart we rejoice her passing to Heaven on July 6, 2014.
She was born in Kermit, Texas on March 31, 1946 to Verlyn and Howard Milson and grew up in Wickett, TX.
Betty and James A. Jones were married on August 23, 1969. James said,“ Betty was my salvation, giving me 44 years 10 months and 6 days of wedded bliss.”
In her life she was a beautician, an accomplished painter, a pilot, seamstress and embroiderer, tax preparer and a passionate friend to all who got to know her. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church, the Purple Sage 99s, and the Experimental Aircraft Association. She is dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. She was the light of our family as the instigator, planner and organizer of many family gatherings which often included interesting places to visit.
Survived by her only husband James Jones, her son Scott and his wife Betsy, two grand children Jealousy and Calvin, three sisters Alice Barron and husband Carl of Marshall, TX, Joyce Logan and husband Jim of Big Spring, TX, Kay Kolb of Midland, TX and many nieces and nephews.
