Bettie was born in Big Spring Texas to the union of Fred and Helen Field on April 11, 1934.
She grew up in Crane Texas where she met the love of her life, James Robert Hawkins. They married on December 21, 1953, in Crane Texas.
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents. and her husband James Robert Hawkins.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughters; Kathy Hawkins Reed and husband Randy, Gladys Hawkins Wagner and husband Cory, Phyllis Hawkins Zwarich and husband Pau,l and Helen Hawkins Handley and husband Bill. Bettie has seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A burial for Bettie will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas. A church service will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4901 Maple Ave., Odessa, TX.
