Barbara Dennison

Barbara Jean Dennison, 91, of Odessa, TX entered Heaven on January 21, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1932 in Billings Montana. She was predeceased by her sister, Christine Chapman, and her beloved daughter, Bobbye Farris and the father of her children, Bob Farris.

She was married in 1952 to Bob Farris and moved to Odessa, Texas where she raised her four children. For 27 years she proudly worked at Furr’s Cafeteria in Odessa, where even her customers became her friends. She worked hard to build a beautiful home and life for her family to whom she was fully devoted for all of her precious life.

Barabara was a loving mother of four, proud grandmother to six, and a wonderful great grandmother to ten children! Her loved ones know her for her faithfulness, resilience, humor, kindness, care, and mostly, her unconditional and supportive love.

A long standing member of Grace Christian Fellowship, She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful follower of Jesus for many years. A special thanks to Luz and Delma for the loving care and to the special staff At Madison Medical Resort.

She is survived by her three children, Billy and Luz Farris, Bonnie Bates, and Brenda Farris. Her grandchildren, Shawn Sayles, Brandy Sayles, Justin and Rhonda Bates, Kelly and Landon Kyker, Travis Bates, Tana and Zoe Sanchez. And ten great grandchildren.

The visitation service for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Odessa Funeral Home. Her celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Grace Christian Fellowship in Odessa, TX, followed by her burial at 1:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2024 at Cowboy Cemetery in Rochelle, TX.
