Amelia “Millie” Ulate Licon, 60, of Odessa passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born May 29, 1949 in Casa Piedra , TX to Feliciana (Espinosa) and Enrique Licon. She is a retired teacher’s aide.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Martin Loya, daughter, Priscilla Loya and brother, Jose Cruz Licon.
She is survived by her partner in life, Arturo Ulate, Sr, (3) sons; Mikel Loya & wife Norma of Odessa, Calvin Loya & wife Sarah of Midland, Andrew Ulate & wife Daryn of Odessa, (3) daughters; Monica Gallivan & husband Dusty of Odessa, Sandra Villegas & husband Jonatan of Midland, April Loya & husband Ruben of Odessa, (4) brothers; Jesus “Chuy” & Tony Licon both of Marfa, Juan & Henry Licon both of Odessa and (4) sisters; Gloria Melendez of Edmond, OK, Lydia Thurman of Balmorhea, Cristina Morgan & Victoria Licon both of Edmond, OK, & 16) grandchildren.
There will be a Rosary said tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow at the Balmorhea Cemetery in Balmorhea, TX with Deacon Joseph Valencia officiating.
