Alma Larrea

She immigrated to Odessa at the age of 19, where she lived out the rest of her life. She married Faustino C. Larrea on September 12, 1973 in Odessa. She was a homemaker who was dedicated to raising and providing for her family, including her grandchildren and great grandson. She loved spending time with them. Alma had an uncanny way of telling you like it is and making you laugh as well. She will be dearly missed.

Alma is survived by her husband of 47 years: Faustino Larrea; daughters: Zarina Larrea Castelo and husband Rudy and Veronica Larrea Tavarez and husband Boy, all of Odessa; sisters: Martha Rodriguez Portillo and husband Raul of Gran Morelos, Chihuahua, Graciela Rodriguez Medrano of Odessa, and Socorro Rodriguez Puga and husband Charlie of Odessa; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jaime and Daniel Rodriguez.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5-9 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at the Odessa II section of Ector County Cemetery. Daniel Rodriguez, Omar Rico Calderon, Jesus Rico Calderon, Charles Puga, Andres Lopez and Raul Rivera will serve as pallbearers.
