We can only grieve for ourselves that she is no longer here on this earth with us because we know she's home.  We met her and Frank when our Krissi and Ronnie got together 16 + years ago.  Grandma and Grandpa were so loving and accepting and welcomed our family with open arms.  They immediately became Grandma and Grandpa to us too and our lives were greatly blessed and highly enriched for having known them and all the Rogers' family. She was a great person and certainly knew how to make one feel loved and welcome. I was very fortune to have such a wonderful Christian Aunt.

Sylva was one of the nicest people we have known.  We love her dearly and will greatly miss her but are so happy she is in a better place with no more pain.  She was a wonderful example of a Godly woman.  We could all learn from her.

LB & I have alot of wonderful memories of Aunt Sylva & Uncle Frank!! They both have speciall spots in our hearts!  LB still talks about the fun times in their home when he was a boy! He thought her white gravy was the best in the world!! Our Love and Prayers to all the family

 I forgot to sign my tribute to Sylva on Oct 1st as well!  There are so many funny stories about Sylva. For years I called Sylva, "Sylvia" when I found out her name was Sylva I asked her why she didn't tell me her name was Sylva and not Sylvia and she said she liked Sylvia better, she said it was a prettier name than Sylva!haha  She told us one time  she made pancakes one night for dinner and she couldn't wait to use this new syrup she had bought, raspberry syrup! So she made Frank's and she put the new syrup on the table and Frank poured it on his pancake's and began to eat the pancakes, she was getting hers ready and he told her "I think you put to much salt in these pancakes" she replied "Frank i didn't put salt in the pancakes" He kept saying "well they are pretty salty", never stopped eating them though she said!haha So she sat down and reached for the new raspberry syrup and she picked up the bottle and saw she had  got the soy sauce instead!  She was laughing so hard telling this story! We were too!  While playing cards one Sunday afternoon with them, she and I were talking and winning!  Frank said "well if you two would quit talking we might be able to through this game" so Sylva got a piece of paper and wrote me a note and passed it to me! haha  After Frank passed Wayne and I were playing cards with Sylva and Wayne said to her "we should go on a trip" and Sylva said 'I would love it, but what are we going to do with her!"haha She was so witty!  We would talk for hours on the phone, shared so much with each other! I will miss her, she was my friend who I love so very much. I will cherish the memories I have of her for the rest of my life!

I wrote my tribute to my mother-in-law on Oct.1st and forgot to sign my name, so I'll add some to it and put my name on it.  When Jerry and I first married, I needed a lot of help to be a good wife, but Sylva never told me I "should do" this or that.  She told me her experiences as a new wife, and I was able to relate them to myself and realize changes I needed to make.  I told her later that she advised me, and she said she never knew she did it.  She was always there for her family but never offered advice unless she was asked.  You can't say that about many mothers-in-law.  When we talked to her on the phone, she always told me specifically that she loved me and not just Jerry.  I'm already thinking of things I wish I could tell her, and I'll always miss her.

Sylva Rogers, my mother in law, was the best person I had the privilege of knowing.  I was truly blessed to be part of her family.  She was always smiling, had the funniest stories to tell, her April Fools Day pranks she played on her husband... She laughed about everything, she enjoyed life and loved with her whole heart.  Playing cards with her on Friday nigths was a very special time for me.  I will truly miss her more then I can even say.  My heart is so heavy with this loss, but I know she is in a better place, she worked all her life to get to where she is now, in heaven with her loving husband, son and sister.  She was an inspiration to me, someone you strive to be like. She was the best mother and raised a wonderful family. A true blessing....

Wayne and I want to express our condolences to all of Sylva's family. We  love her so very much too! We miss her with all our hearts. She was truly a dear friend to us!  We have so many wonderful memories of her and Frank!  I will cherish these memories forever! Great times over 40 yrs of wonderful times together.  She will be so missed. Her smile, that contagious laugh, her happy spirit, the love she showed to her family and friends, her examples she set daily for all of us to learn by, her hospitality, took in so many and gave them a place to live, her hours of cooking and never complaining!  her hard work, her dedication to Christ, the love she had for the Church.  She was a beautiful Christian lady inside and out!  She always said how blessed she was, how much she loved her family!  We were so blessed to have her in our life. We love her and we will miss her.

We are so very sorry to hear of Sylva's passing.  We met Sylva through Jerry and Gloria and had the pleasure of visiting with her on several occasions while she was in Oklahoma. She always had such a beautiful smile!  Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The world was a better place because Sylva was born, and it will be missing one great lady now that she has left us.  Our hearts are saddened that we won't be seeing her as we knew her here anymore; however, we can't wait until we are reunited with her and many other loved ones who are waiting for us in Heaven.  What a grand and spectacular day that will be.  Love to all the family and many who are missing Sylva Rogers (Christian extraordinaire).

Was this lady ever mean or did she ever have a cross word toward anyone?  We don't think so.  We have never met such a kind, loving and happy person than Sylvia.  She was a joy to be with and left us with so many kind memories.  We will never forget the image of she and Melba at the last Halloween party with their princess crowns.  She was the kind of woman that young women wanted to grow up to be like, and she was the woman that older women wished they could be.  Chis & Georgeann

Sylva was one of a kind, and everyone who knew and loved her knew she was funny, fun to be with, she loved God, loved her family, loved her friends---just loved life.  What a blessing that she had the same personality until the end and was still loving life.  She's been my model of what a mother-in-law should be, and all those jokes didn't apply to her at all.  I loved her and will miss her so much.
