Stacy James Henderson passed away in Oceanside, CA on December 28, 2013. Stacy was born in Rocky Ridge, Ohio on July 20, 1928 to James Stacy and Viola Ann Henderson. He attended schools in Hot Springs, AR and the Missouri Military Academy. Stacy joined the Marine Corps and made a career of it. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and a Purple Heart in Korea and the Navy Commendation Medal for Valor in Vietnam. In 1953 Stacy married Norma Jeanne DeYoung and they went on the have 4 children together. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1972 after 27 years of active duty service.
Stacy was preceded in death by his oldest son, Michael, his father and mother, sisters Nora and Freda; He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Norma; son Stacy Henderson of Oceanside CA; daughters Margaret Henderson of McKinney TX and Becky Befort and her husband Tom of Visalia CA. Grandchildren are Ellie Nielsen, John Henderson, Willis Cooley, Raymond Cooley, Leanne Dunn and Cara Befort, and 3 great grandchildren.
