Patricia Lee Turnbaugh, aged 79, passed away on March 10th, 2016 at her home in Escondido, CA, after a long and painful struggle with osteoporosis and an atrial septal defect. Patricia was born September 20, 1936, in Culver City, California, the daughter of James Buchanan and Gertrude Staples.
Patricia’s great love of her life was people. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends talking and sharing her ideas about many things, her favorite subject of which was nutrition, and the most up to date ways of taking care of the body wholistically – through proper eating, vitamin supplements, exercise and rest. She often commented that had she had the opportunity, she would have loved to have become a naturopathic doctor.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Charles Buchanan, his wife Mona, and their son Brad, her son Bil Turnbaugh, and her two daughters, Barbara Williams (with her son Vincent) and Mary McKenzie, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, CA.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
