Patricia Jean Foust was born in Wala Wala Washington on May 6, 1922. Her Father was Orville Walker and her Mother was Mildred Walker (Miller-maiden name). She had one older Brother William Walker and one younger brother, Robert Walker.
She was raised in Portland Oregon. Patricia graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941. In her high school year book it states she was a member of the glee club. Pat (as she liked to be called) worked as a secretary for the Goodrich company in Portland for about 4 yrs. Pat was introduced to her future husband, Dale Foust, by her Brother Bill--Bill and Dale were in the Army together. On August 12, 1945 Pat and Dale were married in Portland Oregon. They had only 1 child, Shanon who was born on Nov. 14, 1951 in Modesto California. Dale was in grocery sales so the family moved to CA where Dale serviced a lot of grocery stores up and down the CA coast--from Albany CA all the way up to Eureka CA. Pat loved to read and travel. She played tennis and went snow skiing w/Dale and Shanon. Her daughter Shanon married her solemate Roque G. Madrigal on July 16, 1971. Shanon and Roque had 2 boys--Adam Madrigal and Roque Madrigal. When Shanon and her husband moved from Northern California down to San Diego, Pat and Dale followed. Pat and Dale moved to Oceanside in 1987. Prior to that move Pat and Dale lived in Rohnert Park from 1957--Dale was a Councilman in Rohnert Park and eventually became mayor. Patricia worked as the secretary for St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cotati, CA for about 8 or 9 yrs. When Pat & Dale lived in Oceanside they attended Mission San Luis Rey and they renewed their their vows on Aug 12, 1995 (50years) at the Prince of Peace Abbey--This was officiated by Abbot Charles Wright--family and friends attended followed by a luncheon. Pat and Dale went on more than 12 cruises during their close, loving and happy marriage. Patricia loved the ocean and beaches. In her diary she made many notes about all the different places they visited on their cruises. They toured France, Rome, Blegium, Germany Amsterdam, Mexico and the Carribean. Pat dearly loved the ocean and long walks on the sand. In August of 2005 they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Then on Dec. 24, 2005 Dale died in their home in Oceanside. Shanon then moved her Mom, Patricia into a Senior Residence in El Cajon, The Good Samaritan. Pat loved to play cards w/her 5or 6 friends there. She also liked to sing along w/all the old songs from her past. She was a good dancer and she listened to classical music all during the day. When Pat required Oxygen 24/7 to breath in late 2010 Shanon moved her to a smaller facility in Lakeside, CA This was the Chaparral Rose II--Patricia moved in there in Feb. of 2011 where she lived until she passed away on July 20, 2011. May you be at rest and eternally together with Dad. All my Love, Your Daughter Shanon Madrigal.
