Lynne Fisher Waller, age 74, of Oceanside, California, passed away peacefully March 6, 2020, with family by her side. Lynne was born to Merlin and Beulah Fisher on April 20, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lynne graduated from Highland High School in 1963 and studied theatre at the University of Utah, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Lynne started theatre at the age of four. She danced her way through kiddie reviews, road shows, Kingsbury Hall Nutcracker, and eventually to the Pioneer Memorial Theatre and Utah Valley Music Hall. She worked for Cencor Temporary Services and was a Volunteer Coordinator for the Utah State Department of Corrections.
Lynne was an enthusiastic volunteer who donated her time, energy, and talents at numerous organizations, including many years of service at the Oceanside Visitors Center and the Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside. Lynne was talented, engaging, smart, and always exhibited a quick wit and great sense of humor. She enjoyed healthy eating and regular physical activity. As an avid sports fan, she loved basketball, football and horse racing. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and the arts.
Lynne married Joseph Newell Waller in 1984. She is survived by Joseph and four step children: Joseph Newell Waller Jr and wife Karolee; Amy Waller; Ann Salmons and husband David; and William Chester Waller and wife Mellisa. She is also survived by her brother Bradley Fisher and wife Lois, and many nephews, nieces, and step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Oakeson.
On Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 9:30 am will be a family viewing immediately followed by a 10am service and interment at The Eternal Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park.
