Louise Olive Wood (Dillie) passed away March 4, 2011 at her home in Valley Center, CA. She was 96. She was born October 25, 1914 in Hallock, MN. to Emmanuel and Ida Dillie. She graduated high school in Lake Bronson, MN and received a teaching degree from Bemidji State Teachers College. She taught school in various locations around Minnesota. WWII brought her to Chicago, IL. where she worked in a Defense Plant. It was there where she met and married Lloyd Wood in 1942. In 1943 their daughter Sharon Lee was born. Louise soon pursued a career in printing and was a journeyman proofreader for 40 years. Louise and Lloyd retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1986. Lloyd passed away in 1987. Louise and her niece, Cynthia Dillie then moved to Escondido, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, her brothers Emmanuel (Buddy) Dillie and Raymond Dillie, 3 half sisters, and grandson, Michael Lloyd Petrungaro. Louise is survived by her daughter Sharon Petrungaro (Carmine) of Lake Havasu City, AZ., 2 grandsons, Mark Petrungaro of Temecula, CA and Rick Petrungaro of Lake Havasu City, AZ., and 7 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Louise was a caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend who always made everyone feel special. She loved to travel abroad, had a great appreciation for fashion and a special talent for sewing and tailoring.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
