In Loving Memorium: Lauren Christine Francis, March 23, 2006 – June 16, 2014. Lauren Francis was born on March 23, 2006 in Monterey, California to parents Dawn and Dan Francis, a serving U.S. Marine. Lauren and her family spent her first year in Monterey, California before moving to Fredericksburg, Virginia due to military orders. In 2009 Lauren and her family moved to Oceanside, California for her father’s new assignment at Camp Pendleton where she lived until her passing. Lauren attended Ivey Ranch Elementary School where she loved her teachers and had many friends. She enjoyed softball, going to the beach, swimming, and singing and dancing. She also loved playing with Barbies, My Little Ponies, and American Girl dolls. Lauren was incredibly loving and generous, quick to help a friend in any way she could. Even as her MELAS disease progressed, her energy and zest for life were contagious and could light up a room. Although her life was short, she served as an inspiration to all who met her, and we are privileged to have been her parents for eight wonderful years. We love you Goose!
Lauren is survived by her parents, Dan and Dawn Francis. A celebration of her life will be held at North Coast Church, 2405 N. Santa Fe Ave, Vista, CA 92084 on June 27, 2014 at 1 PM. An additional memorial will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 115 S. 6th Street, St. Charles, MO, on July 8, 2014 at 1 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
