Kathleen Frances Aygarn, 56, died at home in Oceanside on November 6 after a long illness. Kathy was the daughter of Ron Aygarn and Nancy Gleason of Watertown Wisconsin and is survived by her loving partner of 23 years John Midili of Oceanside CA, sisters Cindy Eghbalnia of Cincinnati OH, Sue Aygarn-Kowalski of Carver MA, and Lisa Frazior of Rowlett TX, and sister-in-law Sue May-Aygarn of Orrington ME. She was preceded in death by her brother Mike Aygarn. She is also survived by nephews Kavan and Kian, and nieces Sara and Aubrey.
Kathy was born at 8:15 am on June 4, 1959 at Mercy Hospital in Champaigne-Urbana IL. Her father worked for the US Forestry Service, so she grew up in many remote locations where she gained her love for animals and fishing. She graduated in 1977 from Bonita High School in Laverne CA, and received a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1983. Kathy moved to the Vista/Oceanside area in 1990 and worked as an Administrative Assistant/Sales Professional for several companies, including the Pennysaver for the last 22 years.
Kathy, or “K” as she was known, was a published author of poetry and short stories, an avid scrapbooker, a collector of Giraffes and other keepsakes, who loved reading. As an organ doner, “K” will continue to bring the joy of reading to those who could not. She also loved “swishing” to Sci-Fi Action movies and her favorite food was homemade Macaroni & Cheese. Nobody could make M&C like “K”!!!
Eternal Hills in Oceanside CA will be handling the arrangements.
