She was preceded in death by her father, Matilde Playa, and mother, Natalia Playa Aldave.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Franco Cantoran, son, Cesar Cantoran, son, Oscar, relatives, and friends.
A vigil will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 5-8 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at St. Leo Mission Church in Solana Beach, California.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 8:30am at St. Leo Mission Church in Solana Beach, California.
Julia Playa de Cantoran's final resting place will be Eternal Hills Memorial Church in Oceanside, California.
