MGySgt Joe C. Casillas USMC Retired passed away in his Oceanside home on 11/26/15 at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Maria E. Casillas; his five children Dolores Gonzales of San Antonio TX, Adriane Vermillion of Vista CA, Beatrice Finney of Oceanside CA, Christine Cole of Denver CO, and Joe Casillas III of Oceanside CA, as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As a proud marine for over 3 decades he fought each time he was called upon with strength and fortitude. In his long military career he recruited, trained, and fought beside the many young brave men that answered the same call to duty. His legacy is long and proud. In addition to his natural born children he would proudly claim the many young soldiers that were his brothers in the Corp.
Services will be held at Eternal Hills Mortuary on December 7th, 2015; the viewing will begin at 9:15 am with the service following at 10:00 am.
