Inocente Emilia Cordova

Our beloved mom, nana, aunt, sister, and friend, Inocente “Chentita” Emilia Cordova passed away at the age of 91 on Friday, September 1st, 2023, after a brief illness. Chentita was born on December 28, 1931, in San Pedro de la Cueva, Sonora, Mexico to her parents Pedro Cordova and Angelita Noriega. Chentita married the love of her life, Juan Peralta (deceased April 20, 1985) and they were married for 27 years. She had seven siblings: Julia Gil, Gonzalo Cordova, Angelina Bojorquez, Miguel Angel Cordova, Luz Flores, and Francisco Cordova, and is survived by her sister, Josefina Cordova. Chentita is also survived by her six children: Martin (spouse Sandra,) Juan (deceased spouse Rae Marie,) David (spouse Wendy,) Maribel (ex-spouse Richard, continued family member) Jorge (spouse Anna,) and Baldemar (spouse Yenny). She has eleven grandchildren: Crystal Peralta, Anthony Peralta, Nathaniel Padilla, Juan Peralta Jr., Stella Peralta, Briana Veytia (spouse Omar,) Christian Peralta, Daniel Spagnuolo, Emilia Hernandez (spouse Luis,) Jacqueline Peralta, and Madeline Peralta. She has six great-grandchildren: Austin San Paolo, Erica San Paolo, Nicholas Padilla, Violet Padilla, Mason Oliver, and Magdalena Hernandez. Her passions were knitting/crocheting and gardening. She was a woman of deep faith and was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista, CA.

A wake will be on Sunday, September 17th at Eternal Hills, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be on Monday, September 18th at St. Francis of Assisi, 525 W Vista Way, Vista, CA 92083, at 11:00 AM, followed by a burial site service at 12:30 PM at Eternal Hills.
