Gerry was born to Donald Robert Schulte and Wilma Louise Comstock in East St Louis Illinois
on May 13, 1942.
Gerry grew up in Jerseyville Ill and after high school joined the US Army and served in the 1st Armored Division under George Patton IV.
After his service, he briefly lived in Illinois and then moved to California where he met and married his wife Angelina.
Gerry was an avid photographer earning a certificate at Palomar College and owning a small studio business.
He was also active in the Vista Townsite Community Service and DAV Chapter 70 in Escondido, CA where he served as Commander in 2008.
Gerry also had a fondness for cats. If a stray wandered upon his doorstep, he named it and fed it.
He will be remembered most for being a kind, gentle man who loved giving to others and helping people.
Gerry is survived by his son Kenneth Wayne Schulte and brothers and sisters Don, Bill, Mark, Debbie, Celine, Suzie and Faith Anne.
Gerry is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Angelina, and his sister Peggy and his brother Scott.
A public memorial service will be held at 9:30 AM at Eternal Hills in Oceanside Ca.
A reception will be held at 11:30 AM at Cocina del Charro in San Marcos.
