Dearest Gen, I called you this morning but your number was disconnected... I tried to get any information on you and I could reach this page.  It's sad however I'm glad to know what happened to you.  I will miss you so much.  I wanted to visit you again and introduce my son, Aoi. He is five-month old now.  I will go to Oceanside with my family in near future and tell Aoi about you and all memories. I'm happy that I met you. Thank you so much.

Genevieve, whom I called Gigi, lived with my girlhood family, Leonard and Marion Arling, and went to high school at Minneapolis Roosevelt. My parents admired her capability and beauty and Gigi not only studied and cared for me, aged 0-3, she worked in my dad's medical office two nights a week: always competent and advancing. When my parents died, too young, in 1979, I resumed contact with Gigi, who lived in California, where my daughter Jill ultimately went to college -- at Redlands. 
I'm grateful to have seen Gigi many times since 1989, when Jill began college at Redlands. Jill lived in CA, married there, and had two daughters, my grandchildren. Gigi knew them all and remained in touch with them, following their lives. I just sent Gigi new photos this winter. 
I'm grateful to have spoken with Gigi in February, when she told me of her pancreatic cancer. My 93rd happy birthday card and gift to Gigi were just returned, no forwarding address. Son-in-law Rhett located this site. 
I wish Gigi's family peace and thanks for her nurturing of me as an infant and as an adult, and for her ongoing connection with our family. Gigi was unique.

Sorry I missed the service for this lovely lady.  I just now, Apr. 11th, found the obituary online. The Video was just as she would have wanted.  Genevieve and I became friends in the Democratic Club of Carlsbad-Oceanside 20 years ago and have kept closely in touch ever since.  George and I will miss this charming, beautiful woman.

Genevieve was a pleasure to know.  I shall always remember her beauty and graciousness.  I am so sorry we shall not see Genny again in this life, but know she is now reunited with her beloved husband, who adored her.  I am blessed to have known Genevieve.

My entire family loved Aunt Genevieve so much.  Her visits to Minneapolis/Dayton area always brought us so much joy.  She loved life and she was a remarkable woman.  She will be missed by many.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I have many fond memories of Aunt Gen.  She lived life to the fullest with grace, faith and style.  You'll always be embedded in my memories.

Aunt Gen, please say hello to God and Leonard (your brother and my father), for me. I will miss you. We had many long conversations over family, genealogy and of course politics! Your passing hurts and I will miss you.
