It is with great sadness that the family of Erlinda R. Diaz announces her passing on June 19th, 2021, at the age of 76. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David, her sons David Jr., Christopher, and Don, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Erlinda was predeceased by her daughter, Andrea.
Erlinda was the first of 4 children born to Andres and Helen Reyes. She is also survived by her brothers, Andres Jr. and Sam; and predeceased by her sister, Ernestine.
Erlinda was a native of California for over 50 years. She was a graduate of La Puente High School. She worked as a merchandiser and store manager for Hallmark and American Greetings for over 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
A Celebration of Erlinda’s life will be held at 1:30 PM, on Saturday, July 24th at the Mission San Luis Rey Chapel, located at 4070 Mission Ave, Oceanside CA 92057, with Fr. Sam Nasada, OFM presiding. It will be followed by a reception at the Knights’ Hall.
