Antonia Ramirez passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Antonia was born on August 10,1959 in Valle de Santiago, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was raised in Mexicali, Mexico, and is the 2nd born, having an older sister and 2 younger brothers. She moved to Vista, California in 1977 with her mom and siblings. For many years, she managed El Nopalito Tortilla Factory Market & Restaurant, working alongside her sister and brother. After El Nopalito, she worked for Stater Bros. for 24 years, as a Deli Manager, retiring in 2021. Antonia spent her free time with her family, as she loved her family dearly and valued family time. Antonia was a very strong, independent woman, who worked hard to buy a home for her and her brother's family to reside with her. Antonia was a loving daughter and sister, as well as a loving Aunt to her nephews and nieces, whom she treated like her children and was viewed as a second mother to them.
Antonia was preceded by the passing of her father Nicolas Ramirez Hernandez, and niece Sulema Ramirez. She is survived by her mother Herlinda Benitez, sister, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, brothers Nicolas Ramirez, and Gilbert Ramirez, along with her nephews Manuel Garcia, Jose Garcia, Raymond Ramirez, Nicolas Ramirez, Manuel Ramirez, and nieces Nancy Garcia and Cristina Ramirez. Antonia will be dearly missed but her presence will forever live within the memories of her family.
