Anita Jacqueline Tipple (Jackie), the youngest of three girls, was born August 6, 1934, in Los Angeles to Hungarian parents Helen and Harry Marky. Helen, a homemaker, and Harry, a classical piano teacher, raised Jackie and her sisters as vegetarian sun and star worshipers. Jackie graduated from Venice High School and raised two sons, Richard and Jerold. Professionally, she excelled in customer service and established herself as a successful real estate agent and broker both in the Los Angeles South Bay and then in North County San Diego. In 1979, she married Neil, the love of her life, and they traveled the world making happy memories. Jackie loved her San Diego paradise. She made lasting friendships and connections and devoted herself to volunteerism with such notable organizations as Soroptimist International, Meals on Wheels, the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, the Carlsbad Dove Library, and the Carlsbad Community Resource Center. For nearly her entire life, Jackie was the picture of health, dedicated to healthy nutrition and regular exercise. She was an avid tennis player and dazzling dancer. She donned her celestial zydeco shoes on October 17, 2023. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Neil (1998). She is survived by her two sisters Asta Mertz and Marlene Mallory and their families, her two sons Richard and Jerold Mansker and their families, her pup Pixie, and countless beloved friends.
