He was born and raised in Brooklyn, where he spent the majority of his life, and got married. Later, he lived in Rockaway Beach where he loved spending time with his mother and son; and Mount Vernon, NY before moving to Monmouth County.
Prior to retiring, he took pride in his 27 1/2 year career with FDNY EMS. He was also a longtime volunteer for the Bensonhurst Volunteer Ambulance Company.
An avid musician, he played the bass and drums. Mr. Lowenthal also loved animals, and always had cats that he lovingly took care of.
He was predeceased by his parents Morris and Nettie Lowenthal, and his former wife Angela Bonelli.
Surviving are his son, Christopher Lowenthal, his cousin Freddie, and his uncle Herb.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 2:00pm at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, 2130 Kings Highway, Ocean, NJ 07712
