Sandra was born in Newark, NJ on June 28, 1943. After graduating from Weequahic High School in 1961, she began her career as a secretary with Prudential Insurance Company. She left the workforce to raise her family, and in 1971 the family relocated to Ocean Township. In 1984, Sandra started working at HQ CECOM, Fort Monmouth, finally retiring in 2008. Sandra had many friends at Fort Monmouth and enjoyed going on outings with them. She also enjoyed spending her time with family. In 2004, Sandra moved to the Greenbriar II community in Bricktown.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Sidney Kaplan and her parents, Jean (Rein) and Harry Margolies.
Sandra leaves behind her two children, Laurie Wall (David) Ocean, NJ and Daniel Kaplan (Donald) South Amboy, NJ, her sister Arline Lippin of Ocean, NJ, and her two grandchildren, Matthew and Brianna Wall.
Sandra's burial will take place at Beth Israel Cemetery/Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
