Marvin K. Broder, 100, peacefully at home. He is survived by his adored and devoted wife, Lois P. Broder. An avid skier, pilot, and ocean sailor, Marv was devoted to his family, where his humor, advice and support were without limit. A Yale graduate, Marv served as a Lt. Commander in the US Navy, helped establish Israel’s Navy, and built homes throughout Monmouth County. Marv served on the Rumson Board of Education, Monmouth Reform Temple, and the Monmouth Medical Center. After his board service to the Medical Center, Marv continued his commitment as a volunteer in its Emergency Department, where he was described as “an angel” by unaccompanied patients and worried family members. Predeceased by his children Carley and Chip (Celeste), he leaves offspring that he and Lois nurtured, Mike Broder (Rita Rubin), Betsy Broder (David Wentworth), Peter Stern (Jill), Bob Stern (Susan), Jim Stern, Peggy Wallach (Steve), 15 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
