Lillian F Schwartz

Lillian was born in Newark and moved to Interlaken in 1947.

While in high school, Lillian began her career at age 13 working for the purchasing department of the Hanes Department Store in Newark. Lillian worked at Fort Monmouth for the Electronics Command at the Hexagon and for the post Provost Marshal. She worked for the Asbury Park Office of Social Security until her retirement in 1975.

Lillian was active in many local groups including the Monmouth County, NJ Chapter 0411 of

the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE).

She is predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Gussie Fasten, her husband Jack L. Schwartz, her sisters Pauline Slatin, Sarah Roberts, Hannah Field, Selma Jakel, Cecile Fasten and her brother, Samuel Fasten. She is survived by her sons; Joel and his wife Nancy Hine of San Rafael, CA and Bruce of Interlaken as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be 1:30pm today at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Neptune, NJ.
