Elaine Morris

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls, and attended Penn State University. She was the daughter of the late Rose and Louis Meersand. She moved to the Monmouth County area 73 years ago.

Elaine had many interests, including reading with her book club, attending the theater, and playing bridge with her friends. However, her greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with her family. She was the consummate mother and grandmother and always wanted to hear what was new with her grandsons. She was kind, thoughtful, and had a good sense of humor. Elaine was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband Edwin Morris, M.D.

She is survived by her daughter Amy and her husband Kerry Zukus of Little Silver, her cherished grandsons Ryan Zukus of New York, NY, and Jason Zukus, his wife Rachael, and their son Elijah of Needham, MA, and many relatives and friends.

A service will be held Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Congregation B’Nai Israel Cemetery, Riverdale Avenue West, Tinton Falls, NJ at 10 am.

Shiva will be observed on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Zukus residence from 2 pm until 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elaine's memory may be made to a charity of your choosing.
