She was a kindergarden and first grade teacher in Jersey City, PS 23, for 20 years. After retirement she settled in Neptune and became an active volunteer with JWV Post 125, Deborah Heart and Lung Center, and The New Jersey Senior America Cameo Club. She was a member of Temple Beth El, Ocean. Diana loved to travel, cook, play ping pong and mahjong, but most of all loved playing piano, and being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Sussman, of Neptune, Dr. Robert E. Schnitzer and his wife Laurie, of Toms River, and Renee Schnitzer Tompkins and her husband Gregory, of Wall Township, a brother Dr. Daniel Framm, and sisters; Bette Snyder, and Louise Hallam, and four grandchildren; Candace, Jenny, Sarah, and Caitlin.
A chapel service will be held at 11am on Tuesday February 24th, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Interment will follow at Temple Beth El Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to JWV Post 125 or Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Bloomfieldcooperocean.com
