i have many fondmemories of briangrowing up and graduating from law school, stopping in and having lunch with me in my office and a most pleasant talk with him about 2 months ago.  I will miss him and he was a most successful man all-around.    fondly, dan white

I think the best story for me to tell is how Brian and I became friends.  I was about 1 year into the practice of law (so around 1989-90) and Brian and I were in Chicago doing a discovery and then de bene esse deposition of his expert.  After completing the discovery deposition, we went back to the hotel where we were staying and met for dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  Chatting, I said something about Cranford and he said, “How do you know about Cranford” and I said I graduated CHS in 1974.  He said he graduated in 1980 (I always have difficulty remembering he was 6 years younger than me...always seemed to me to have wisdom far beyond his years!).  I told him I graduated with “the Blaze”, we shared our love of Al Schmidt, my English teacher at Orange Avenue JHS and his tennis coach and how much he enjoyed playing at the “clay courts” —still then the pride of Cranford. unfortunately eventually paved over.   Suddenly I realized I knew exactly who he was.  He was the “kid” I, along with Lisa Levine (no relation) who played tennis as well, called “Big Foot”!!  He just had feet bigger than what his body seemed to need!!! He absolutely cracked up and loved that nickname!  The next morning, we did the video de bene esse of his expert and when that was done, the expert commented, “there was no yelling”, and that he was impressed, and seemingly found rare, that 2 attorneys could do their jobs protecting their clients’ interests yet do so with such civility and respect.  That was Brian to a “T”...every day and always.   Having had Brian in my life, as so many others have said, made me want to be not only a better lawyer but a better person.  I know I will miss him, his kindness, humor, common sense and generosity, every day.
					

Mae and i went to high school together. 
I drove up from MD to visit them. I mentioned wanting ice cream, and without missing a beat Brian stood up and said "Let's go". We stood on a very long line talking the entire time. 
  I ordered (he didn't) and then he paid.  And that's the kind of guy he was. 

My name is Michael Boyle. I am a NJ private detective. I did many cases with Brian. He was a super lawyer and more importantly a super person. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was always friendly and nice. He was the ultimate people person. I will miss him very much. God bless the entire family and know that you are in our prayers.

I knew Brian from his summer associate/associate days at Porzio.  Brian and I kept in touch all of these years (perhaps 35)having occasional lunches or talking to catch up on family stuff.   Brian met my daughter when considering her athletic scholarship at Vanderbilt.  He was one of a kind with a fun happy smile.   Brian hired one of my nieces years back at his law firm in Somerville as a summer intern.  I occasionally referred him cases because he was an excellent attorney.  It sadden me when he told me he was ill.  I know for sure his adored his two boys and the rest of his family.  The pictures on your video warmed my heart in my memories of him.  Brian was kind when I lost my husband almost ten  years ago suddenly.  He was such a good person with one of the best personalities.  We had many laughs at Porzio and thereafter. I could write a million words and it still wouldn't be enough to describe how amazing a person Brian was.  The world is a little less bright now that Brian has moved on, but his memory and awesomeness will live on in our hearts forever :-)

Brian was to me the most kind and considerate person I’ve known for the longest time.?just a few short years ago Brian and Mabel took me under their wing and helped me through a rough patch I was going through.  I will never forget their kindness and love although I knew them only a short time.  Sometimes you meet someone in life that touches your heart and burns a memory that will last forever. To the Levine Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the honor of working with Judge Levine in the municipal courts. I sat in his courts on many occasions and always left impressed. Judge Levine dealt with so many complicated issues on the bench but the one thing that was consistent was the compassion and kindness he showed each person that came before him. I enjoyed working with him and he will be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers

No words can express the loss that I and many others feel.  

Brian was a father figure to me . His energy was magnetic . Every one always gravitated towards Brian and wanted to be around him. Brian was one of the most loving people I have been around . Brian showed me by example how to be a loving father to my children and loving & caring  husband to my wife . 

Brian was truly a very special man, personally the loss of Brian, is still hard to accept, he was a person that if i needed help or had a question he was always there for me, realizing today he was in my life for over  30 years, so when he called me to tell me about his condition, I never thought i would be writing this letter.  I felt compelled to write this. For people that were dear to Brian understand why im writing this and for the others I just want you to know we lost such a great human being, so special and will be missed dearly

Brian was an exemplary attorney, person, and friend. As much as we knew this day was coming, it so hard to believe that someone so young and vibrant has left us. I have yet to meet a person who, after spending  five minutes with Brian,  did not walk away being impressed by his wisdom, dry wit and commitment to being the best he could be. Mabel’s steadfast support and tireless commitment to help him live his best life in the face of this diagnosis is truly phenomenal. Brian loved being a father and a grandfather, and I know he leaves behind so many that will miss him terribly.  I feel so privileged to have been able to call him my friend for so many years. He leaves us with a final example of courage that will not likely be easily matched.
