Peter Alan Lessard, age 66, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Tuesday January 8, 2019. Peter was born August 28, 1952 to Lillian Thompson and Gerald Lessard in Montreal, Canada. Peter grew up in Ft. Lauderdale.
Peter proudly served in the United States Air Force, serving a jet engine repair mechanic. He primarily worked in his personal life doing air conditioner and appliance repair until he retired. He was a volunteer with the Patriot Guard Riders and performed honor guard services and rides for many occasions; in addition he was a Road Captain for the Hog Club of Ocala. He was also a member of the Single Action Shooting Society and the National Rifle Association. Through his many memberships and volunteer organizations he made many friends and was well liked by everyone.
Peter is survived by his son Michael P. (wife Lisa) Lessard, a sister Maureen (husband Kevin) Sullivan and a brother Larry (wife Carla) Lessard; he is further survived by his granddaughter Lexi Lessard and his step-grandchildren Fenix Rodes & Montana Rodes, as well as his best friend Kenneth Klabacha and his beloved dogs Athena and Titus "Big T".
Peter was preceded in death by his father Gerald Lessard and his mother Lillian Thompson.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34480, starting with a Gathering of Family & Friends at 5:00 PM, A Celebration of Life from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
A committal & rendering of honors will occur Friday, January 18, 2019 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery - Bushnell, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
