Pauline Thompson, 89, of Ocala FL formerly of Princeton, West Virginia and Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on August 24 2017. Pauline was born to Carter Riley & Essie Ann Vaughan on August 28 1927 in Fries, Virginia. Pauline graduated from Oakvale High School in West Virginia. She later married Marvin C. Thompson on September 15 1950 and they celebrated many years of marriage until his passing in 2007.
Pauline was a model wife and home maker, making sure everything was perfect and spotless. She was a very spiritual person and she celebrated her faith with the Church of the Nazarene, volunteering many years here in Ocala. She was an avid collector of many different items and styles, she loved art and knick-knacks. She was a brilliant chef and loved to cook for friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four siblings.
She is survived by her brother, Ted (Hilda) Vaughan; sister Claudine (Odell) Pugh; many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday August 27 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Ocala, FL starting at 2:00pm. Funeral will be held immediately after starting at 3:00pm.
Pauline will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private ceremony in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
