Nancy (Ballirano) Utting, born July 24th, 1927, passed away on December 1, 2021, at her home in Summerfield, Florida. Nancy is survived by her children George (Debra) Utting, Barbara (James) Zebrowski, Lois (Brian) Brochard, and Kenneth (Dana Winchester) Utting; grandchildren Lisa (Scott) Reilly, Jennifer Stevenson, Brittany Brochard, Gabrielle (Ryan Williams) Brochard, Benjamin Utting, and Julia Utting; great grandchildren Troy, Lily, Alex, Joanna, and Gramercy; siblings Gaetano (M. Victoria) Ballirano and Marie Keck; and sisters-in-law Anne Sarazen and Rosalie Kelly; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Nancy is predeceased by her husband, Walter A. Utting Jr., and parents Filomena (Nardiello) and Louis (Luigi) Ballirano.
Nancy and her siblings were born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. There was always extended family around and this made a lasting impression on her. Nancy and Walter met in 1949 and married in 1951. The couple eventually settled in Ridge, NY and Nancy went to work as a secretary for the Middle Island School District (now known as Longwood Central School District). Working full-time didn’t stop Nancy from also being a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts when her sons were young or from helping out with her grandchildren whenever she was needed.
After retiring in the late 1980s, Nancy joined Walter on some of his many trips around the world, but she was always happiest at home, wherever that might be. In the more recent years, home was in Summerfield, FL wither her daughter, Lois, and son-in-law, Brian, where Nancy could be found enjoying socializing with members of their community.
Nancy was so many things to so many people, but most of all, she was loved and will truly be missed.
